Portionables® —sauces, soups and other fine food products—are made using a proprietary technology developed in Europe. The unique process allows us to cook the sauces without the risk of burning or scorching on the kettle jacket, unlike other kettle-cooked sauces. The IQF technology preserves the fresh flavor, texture and color of the product, while eliminating the opportunity for bacterial growth. Typically our sauces are cooled from cooking temperatures, and then completely frozen in as few as 10 minutes. We are also able to add visual appeal to each IQF piece using the freshest ingredients and most flavorful seasonings. Specifications:

Portionables® frozen pellets available in two sizes:
• 5 - 6 grams, 44 mm or 1 ½" long
 • 3 - 3.5 grams, 26 mm or 1” long

Advantages:

  • Portionables® are a revolutionary alternative to the common frozen “brick” or powdered mix sauces, soups and side dishes.
  • Portionables® can readily be blended with other IQF frozen ingredients; no separate pouches or additional packaging required. This gives the consumer and/or the operator the added benefit of one-step, one-pan preparation.
  • Portionables® mean convenience, whether the user is a processor portioning components for home meal replacement, a chef whipping up a batch of sauces for the lunch hour rush or a family cooking a meal at home.
  • Portionables® have excellent stability in a frozen environment, unlike refrigerated products that spoil in refrigerated storage awaiting use. Portionables® reconstitute quickly and easily in the microwave, on the stovetop or in a blender. The small IQF portion-control pieces melt readily because they are similar in size to other IQF components.
  • Portionables® offer consistency and uniformity right from the package which means no risk of an imperfect experience being delivered to the consumer.
  • Portionables® typically ship in 1/35lb. poly-lined boxes, although, totes and a variety of other packaging options are also available for your project.
