When formulating reduced sodium products, you want to be able to achieve acceptable flavor profiles without having to mask off flavors or give up a clean ingredient statement. Sargento reduced sodium natural cheese lets you create lower sodium products without flavor or label concerns. Reduced sodium processed cheese ingredients

Most product formulators use processed cheese because of its controlled melting properties and processing flexibility. With Sargento reduced sodium processed cheese, you don't have to give up any of these benefits, because it has all the functionality and flavor of traditional processed cheese without all the sodium. Depending upon application targets, sodium reduction can be achieved at varying levels up to 35%, without the addition of sodium substitutes, which could negatively affect flavor.

The controlled melting properties of our reduced sodium processed cheese are maintained, so the cheese will perform as expected, softening and spreading when heated without oiling off. Our R&D and culinary team will partner with you in your reduced sodium application development to ensure that you have the sodium level and melting characteristics to meet your specifications.
